Changes and edits
Generally I am a-ok to make changes to a piece, as I want it to be perfect for you! There are some instances where changing things may have an extra cost, but it's not often that there is one.

| Sketch, Lineart & Color Changes | Free! These stages are easier to edit, and I'm often more than happy to make any adjustments you'd like to the piece to make it fit your liking/more accurate to the character's likeness so long as I'm not completely starting from scratch. |
| Major changes during the rendering stage | +$15 flat for all pieces. Small edits and adjustments are fine, but major changes that will require a bigger time sink have a flat cost. I will be keeping you updated regularly as I progress, so you have ample time to ask for changes before then, I promise! |

refunds
Here are some guidelines for how I gauge refunds--please note that the refund may vary on a case-by-case basis based on outside factors, such as time spent on the refunded piece.You may ask for a refund at most points of the creation process, but the amount returned to you will depend on how far into the commission process I've gotten. In the event of a refund, you forfeit any claim to the image and I am within my rights to repurpose it for my own use. In this case, it will not be used to fulfill another person's commission.

♡ General rules ♡
I reserve the right to decline any commission, or discontinue a commission (with a proper refund, given that the reason for discontinuation was not disrespect aimed at me) at any time.
If a client is rushing me or rude in any manner, I have the right to decline their request or give out a refund depending on how far into the completion process I am.
The terms outlined here may vary depending on the type of commission, but for the most part will be the same.

♡ usage and image rights ♡
I reserve the rights to all artwork, and may use said art to:
Promote myself for advertising purposes.
Display on any form of social media I am on, unless agreed otherwise.
Use as examples to others, with the watermark attached.
Not for commercial use, meaning I will never resell the art or the characters depicted in said art to someone else!
The commissioner reserves the right to:
Claim rights to the character, but not the drawing itself.
Share/Repost their artwork any place they see fit with proper credit to the artist (Novixalen).
Request that their art piece not be displayed on other platforms by the artist (me). You must request this either before or when you receive the artwork for this rule to come into effect.

♡ process ♡
On average, it can take me anywhere from a few weeks to three months to complete a commission, depending on its complexity and my irl schedule.
Art will be completed on a canvas at about 3000x3000px or larger, at 300 DPI.
I will send you updates throughout the drawing process, asking for input/any changes you may desire as I move along. At the very least, I will send you one screenshot of each stage to make sure I'm on the right track. Please try to respond to these in a timely manner, as I often have to wait after I send the progress shot so I don't continue without your input!
Deadlines will be agreed upon before the start of the commission, but as earlier stated, I like to keep the end-time looser to avoid unnecessary stress on my end.
I will always try my hardest to complete your commission within a timely manner, but life gets in the way sometimes & can cause delays in the creative process. Please be understanding of this. If anything comes up/causes a delay, I will be sure to let you know ASAP.
